Anant Corporation Blog: Our research, knowledge, thoughts, and recommendations about building and managing online business platforms.
I decided to write this article because recently customers have been asking if they should move to the cloud and the steps for migrating their On-Premise Architecture to Cloud Scale. If you have ever worked on a Sitecore Project or any software project with multiple team members, then you are well aware of the pitfalls of On-Premise management. Scaling your platform in the cloud not only gives your team development and design benefits but also allows them to make strong cost-saving arguments to corporate management.
The Sitecore Community is one of the best communities we as a firm have been privileged to be a part of. For me, the community is amazing because of its people and their contributions to a greater goal. For what is a great community without amazing people all over the world? I have been working with Sitecore since version 6.2 in 2010 but I never really understood the hidden value of the community until 2017 when I attended an event. I did not realize there were so many different people working on amazing things willing to sacrifice their work and personal time in order to help you or teach you new knowledge. Like others, I was helped on Twitter and Slack on some of my craziest challenges as a Sitecore Architect.
What a week at Disney Swan Resort with Sitecore! Not only did we attend Sitecore Symposium 2018 and learn more about what is possible as well as how we can help firms get the most out of Sitecore; we also became a Sitecore affiliate partner. This affiliation will provide additional resources and support to create the optimal Sitecore solution based on your objectives and needs.
Our Partner Conference took place at the symposium in Orlando and we didn’t want to leave! There was a fantastic exchange of ideas with experts, Sitecore MVPs, and firms presenting on their successes. We wish we could have met more people and attended all of the sessions – maybe next year. With limited time, we focused on two exciting areas in Sitecore; Headless CMS and Machine Learning.
In one of my earlier articles, I talked about why your company or organization should adopt Sitecore as your Experience Platform. It’s a good platform for users, content authors, and developers to create compelling and engaging digital experiences as well as collect information on website traffic. Machine learning and analytics in personalized content are two of the most compelling features of Sitecore. In today’s world, companies, particularly the Fortune 500, require real-time analytics to help drive stakeholder goals.
As per the Episerver website, the platform allows “You to easily manage content and marketing campaigns in one screen and no longer need to rely on IT to create new experiences.”
The product is a leader in Web Content Management Software (WCMS) and allows your team to control content over multiple digital channels such as web, mobile web, mobile native, and tablet. Once thought to be a small player, Episerver continues to climb up the Gartner WCMS ratings every year for its lightweight framework and agile upgrading features.
