Anant Corporation Blog: Our research, knowledge, thoughts, and recommendations about building and managing online business platforms.
Over the last few weeks, I have been working on Sitecore, which is one of the top web content management systems currently available on the market. While the application is very powerful and intuitive to use, its installation is definitely not an easy task, at least for someone like me who was doing it for the first time. This is primarily because Sitecore’s main application is dependent on multiple subcomponents and there can be hundreds of reasons why they might not integrate properly and throw you an error. Moreover, it was also very hard to find a proper document that covers the various issues that come up during the installation. That’s why when I finally got it successfully installed, it literally felt like I won a million dollar lottery!
Sitecore is currently one of the leading content management systems in the world. It contains powerful features which allow web content editors and marketers to have full control over various aspects of their website from social media integration and blog posts to advanced features such as personalization, e-commerce and many more. As Sitecore is becoming more popular with companies, the demand for experienced developers is also on the rise. The Sitecore Community is one of the best communities we as a firm have been privileged to be a part of. For me, the community is amazing because of its people and their contributions to a greater goal. For what is a great community without amazing people all over the world? I have been working with Sitecore since version 6.2 in 2010 but I never really understood the hidden value of the community until 2017 when I attended an event. I did not realize there were so many different people working on amazing things willing to sacrifice their work and personal time in order to help you or teach you new knowledge. Like others, I was helped on Twitter and Slack on some of my craziest challenges as a Sitecore Architect.
What a week at Disney Swan Resort with Sitecore! Not only did we attend Sitecore Symposium 2018 and learn more about what is possible as well as how we can help firms get the most out of Sitecore; we also became a Sitecore affiliate partner. This affiliation will provide additional resources and support to create the optimal Sitecore solution based on your objectives and needs.
Our Partner Conference took place at the symposium in Orlando and we didn’t want to leave! There was a fantastic exchange of ideas with experts, Sitecore MVPs, and firms presenting on their successes. We wish we could have met more people and attended all of the sessions – maybe next year. With limited time, we focused on two exciting areas in Sitecore; Headless CMS and Machine Learning.
